Stopping The Stinky

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Gold Bond. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. The reason that I signed up for this is because I can really stink up a place and I have two boys that are following in my (sweaty) footsteps.

Try them

So, a few stories to begin. When we first got married, I had a little problem with odor. I had a new wife that I wanted to be close to and pits that would repel. Let’s not talk about some other stinky areas but you can just include them in the safety of your own mind. I did the powder thing that worked but was not very practical. Powder is hard to apply against gravity. It was my mother-in-law that fixed me with a concoction of baking soda and lemon that was viscous enough to fight gravity. Now I always smell nice because it is important to Lee.

Fast forward to my two boys. The nine year old will bust out in a sweat having a profound thought. The six year old only sweats on his feet. Since we live in the mountains now, I like to take hikes. My older son loves to come with me and my younger son hates hiking. When I make him go, I get a litany of complaints about his sweaty feet. “There is a pool in my shoes.” “I feel like I am water skiing.” “My shoes are squishing.”

Needless to say, all of the boys in the family get squirted with the Gold Bond No Mess Spray. I spray my stinky parts. The little one just gets his feet sprayed and the older one…well, I can spray him like he is a Kabuki dancer. We like the Fresh one because it smelled nicer. That is just our collective opinion.

A little side note: spray it on before you get chaffed. If you do it after then it stings like a dickens. Trust me on this.
