People’s Choice Predictions

... and the winner is... CoupleDumb!!!! is on the Red Carpet of the People’s Choice Awards on January 6th, 2009. Because we love be to be team players and never miss an opportunity to make fun of celebrities, we will be live blogging the whole show tomorrow! The following are the nominations and our predictions.
TV Drama: “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “House,” “Lost,” “NCIS.”  – This one is a no-brainer :‘Lost’! We watched all 5 seasons of the show last June. We love it.
TV Comedy: “Desperate Housewives,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “The Office,” “Two and a Half Men.” – Did we ever mention that Paul has a degree in physics? It would be illogical to choose anything other than ‘Big Bang Theory’.
TV Drama Actor: Hugh Laurie, Kiefer Sutherland, Mark Harmon, Matthew Fox, Patrick Dempsey. – Matthew Fox. Why? Cause he’s on Lost and the other actors are on shows we never watch.
TV Drama Actress: Anna Paquin, Blake Lively, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Katherine Heigl, Mariska Hargitay – We have a few guilty pleasures. ‘True Blood’ is one of them. SOOKIE SOOKIE! (Anna Paquin for those heathens who don’t watch it.)
TV Comedy Actor: Alex Baldwin, Charlie Sheen, Jim Parsons, Neil Patrick Harris, Steve Carell. – Did we mention Paul was a phys… yeah, O.K. Jim Parsons. Paul also has that focused, single mindedness.
TV Comedy Actress: Alyson Hannigan, America Ferrera, Amy Poehler, Eva Longoria Parker, Tina Fey. – We don’t watch any of their shows but we love Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Either of these would make us happy.
TV Obsession: “Dexter,” “Gossip Girl,” “The Hills,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “True Blood.” – BITE ME! ‘True Blood’.
TV Talk Show: “Chelsea Lately,” “Live with Regis & Kelly,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Tyra Banks Show.” – This one is too easy. ‘Chelsea Lately’- she’s irreverent, provocative and funny. Just like us!
TV Sci-Fi / Fantasy: “Heroes,” “Lost,” “Supernatural,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “True Blood.” –  OMG! This one is difficult. We will admit that Heroes lost us this year but between Lost and True Blood (which we love both of them) we will need to go with ‘Lost’. If they had a prize for sexy sci-fi then ‘True Blood’ all the way.
TV Competition Show: “American Idol,” “Dancing With the Stars,” “Project Runway,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Survivor: Samoa.” – We only watch ‘So you think you can dance’.
Animal Show: “Animal Cops,” “DogTown,” “Dog Whisperer,” “It’s Me or the Dog,” “Rescue Ink.” – We personally use Cesar Milans ‘Dog Whisperer’ techniques for parenting. Paul is so Alpha and that zap in the neck thing works wonders on toddlers.
New TV Drama: “Eastwick,” “FlashForward,” “Melrose Place,” “Mercy,” “The Forgotten,” “The Good Wife,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Three Rivers,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “V.” – We like ‘The Good  Wife’. The story is cool and Christine Baranski can do feminine product commercials and we’d watch them.
New TV Comedy: “Accidentally on Purpose,” “Brothers,” “Community,” “Cougar Town,” “Glee,” “Hank,” “The Cleveland Show,” “The Middle,” “Modern Family.” – This is so easy: ‘GLEE’ (said in three part harmony and some wicked hairography)!!
Movie Actor: Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Depp, Robert Pattinson, Ryan Reynolds. – Lee says: O.K., all the guys are hot which makes the category difficult. However, I will have to go with Hugh Jackman since he is ripped, can sing and dance. Paul says: Johnny Depp ‘cause I don’t care about no ripped abs.
Movie Actress: Anna Hathaway, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, Kristen Stewart, Sandra Bullock.- After watching Rachel Gets Married, we are going with Anne Hathaway as our favorite actress!
Action Star: Christian Bale, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman, Shia LaBeouf, Vin Diesel.- Bale is an ass. LaBeouf is a child. Diesel is a Neanderthal. The last two are very hot but we already gave one to Jackman so Butler for the win.
Comedic Star: Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Jim Carrey, Ryan Reynolds, Vince Vaughn.Ryan – Reynolds because Vaughn hasn’t made either of us laugh in eons and Ben Stiller is getting a weird crypt keeper look.
Breakout Movie Actress: Anna Kendrick, Emily Osment, Ginnifer Goodwin, Miley Cyrus, Zoe Saldana. – Ginnifer Goodwin for the win for her performance in ‘He’s not that into you’. Plus if we said Miley, Paul would have to throw up.
Breakout Movie Actor: Chris Pine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sam Worthington, Taylor Lautner, Zachary Quinto. – This one is for Chris Pine. William Shatner wishes he looked that good when he played Kirk. Wait, he’s still playing Kirk!
On-Screen Team: “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”; “The Proposal”; “The Twilight Saga”; “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”; “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” – HARRY POTTER!
Family Movie: “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs,” “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” “Up,” “Where the Wild Things Are.” – We will have to say ‘Up’ even though it still makes us go fetal with tears and grief.
Independent Movie: “(500) Days of Summer,” “District 9,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Paranormal Activity,” “Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail.” – All we can say is ‘Praise the Lort! Hallelujer!’ Madea!
Movie Franchise: “Harry Potter,” “Star Trek,” “The Twilight Saga,” “Transformers,” “X-Men.” – Did we mention we love HARRY POTTER!?
Comedy Movie: “17 Again,” “Bride Wars,” “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “The Hangover,” “The Proposal.” – I am proud to say I have seen every one of these. We will give our vote to ‘The Hangover’.
Favorite Movie: “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” “Star Trek,” “The Hangover,” “The Proposal,” “Twilight.” – Hold on, did you know we love HARRY POTTER?
Male Artist: Eminem, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw. – Lee is secretly in love with Jason Mraz. Damn, not a secret anymore.
Female Artist: Beyonce, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Pink, Taylor Swift. – Paul is secretly in love with Pink. Lee just killed him.
Country Artist: Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift. – We will vote for Taylor Swift because she is still a nice girl and has no noticeable track marks on her arm. Not that any of the other nominees do. We’re just sayin’.
Breakout Music Artist: Adam Lambert, Demi Lovato, Kris Allen, Lady Gaga, Susan Boyle. – Honesty time: Lee can’t stand Adam Lambert. Which is odd since her hagdar should be all atwitter over him. Instead we will cast our vote for Lady Gaga.
Hip-hop Artist: Eminem, Flo Rida, Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, T.I. – Since we are usually lousy Floridians, we will send a shout out to Flo Rida.
Rock Band: Daughtry, Green Day, Kings of Leon, Muse, Paramore. – Lee saw Paramore with her daughter and Mari from J-Bug Jewelry. GWOW!
Music Collaboration: Cobra Starship & Leighton Meester, “Good Girls Go Bad”; Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat, “Lucky”; Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West, “Run This Town”; T.I. & Rihanna, “Live Your Life”; The Lonely Island & T-Pain, “I’m on a Boat.” – Lee pretends she is singing the duet with Jason Mraz and has ‘Colbie is a dead woman’ written on her folder.
R&B Artist: Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Usher. – Alicia Keys gets our vote, we guess.
Pop Artist: Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, the Black Eyed Peas. – Lady Gaga is intriguing and dominating.
Web Celeb: Andy Samberg, Ashton Kutcher, Miley Cyrus, P. Diddy, Will Ferrell. – We seriously feel that people should write us in on this one. So CoupleDumb (Lee and Paul) for Web Celeb of the Year!

See you tomorrow while we live blog the People’s Choice. Check out MomTV who will be on the Red Carpet!
