50 Things I have learned in 50 years – Day 48

We are on the final countdown to my 50th birthday! I guess you can say that as I get closer to the day I am overwhelmed by a mix of feelings- excitement, sadness and bit of nausea. I am sharing the lessons I have learned during my 50 years on earth.

I know you’re thinking, ‘What have you learned about people?’ Which brings me to #48

Guilt is a useless feeling.

If you feel bad about what you did, don’t do it again. If you should have done something, do it. There is no reason to feel bad about things you can’t or couldn’t change. People will try to get you to feel bad about one thing or another, don’t. That is their hang up.

When you start making yourself a priority, people will be annoyed by this. How dare you? How can you be so selfish? They will do and say anything and everything to bring you down. Set your boundaries. Keep your commitment to yourself.

Come back for the next 2 days and see what else I have learned.
