50 Things I have learned in 50 years – Day 43
We are on the final countdown to my 50th birthday! I guess you can say that as I get closer to the day I am overwhelmed by a mix of feelings- excitement, sadness and bit of nausea. I am sharing the lessons I have learned during my 50 years on earth.
I know you’re thinking, ‘What about my life?’ Which brings me to #43
Play. Play some more.
We forget to play. When we ‘grow up’ we relegate play to this idea that it is a kid thing. ‘Oh, kids need to play.’ Grown-ups play differently. We go out with friends and have a drink. That’s how we play. I say, play like a kid!
You hear a great song at the store? Sing it. Dance to it.
Play tag with your husband.
Have a nerf gun always cocked and loaded at your desk.
Be silly.
Go down a slide and swing on a swing.
Whatever it takes. Have fun.
Don’t dance like no one is watching. Dance like you don’t care who is watching!
Come back for the next 7 days and see what else I have learned.
