Paul just turned 49 and is pushing 50. So, in his senility, he has decided to train to be on the show American Ninja Warrior. Remember that he is a geek with math skills, not athletics. So now we are doing the whole exercise and eating right thing. The people at eMeals gave us a free membership to review. This came just in time for the training season. The program lets us put in our eating style, anything from simple gourmet to gluten free, and it delivers recipes to our email. It also comes with a grocery list and coupons.
eMeal has over 50 plans that can be delivered weekly that can be customized to your likes and dislikes as well as your dietary needs. Specialties include classic, clean eating, simple gourmet, low fat, low carb, paleo, portion control, organic, vegetarian and gluten-free meals.
One of their claims to fame is that they help you maintain portion control which is healthier and does not leave a bunch of leftovers to throw away (or eat at midnight.) Since the plans are created for a whole week, the grocery list is itemized so that you do not accidentally double up of ingredients. Then they give you coupons so that you can save around $1000 per year using the eMeals plans.
We created the whole wheat banana nut muffins, except that I did them as a loaf because it was just easier that way. The recipe was relatively simple and the bread came out delicious. The boys loved it and it was generally pretty healthy. The bananas and peanut butter gave it its sweetness so that there was not a lot of sugar. For those of you that do not bake, a pound cake recipe generally calls for 1 to 2 cups of sugar and a half pound of butter. This type of quick bread did not. That is why we can list it as healthy.
If you want to sign up, we are offering a 35% off code : Cyber35. Don’t what until after the holidays because this is a limited time offer. Do it now. This is a good and healthy way to start out the new year. Let’s face it, after Christmas you know you are going to do the ‘I need to eat better’ thing so you might as well handle it now.
Thank you Markerly for this paid opportunity. Of course, all opinions are our own.
