Mike Rivero Shows Us How The American Dream Looks

I am having a little problem starting this post because it is about a piece of art. It is straining my writing ability to take the emotional content that I felt looking at a painting and put it into words. A high school friend of Lee’s invited us to the gallery opening of Mike Rivero, a Cuban impressionistic painter. In case you did not know this, Lee is Cuban. Both of us come from immigrant families. My grandparents emigrated from Hungary. More importantly, Lee’s parents are Cuban political exiles. I have heard all of the stories of how my in-laws came to this country, how my father-in-law escaped execution and how they moved to California and created a new life from nothing. As an American born, I have always thought that my in-laws are more American than me because they had to risk everything to have the country that I take for granted.

The Koala Kid

The people from Fox Entertainment invited us to the Los Angeles zoo to see Koalas and to get a screening of their movie, Koala Kid. Yes, everything about that sentence is 50 flavors of awesome. First, let’s start with the Los Angeles Zoo. Lee and I are originally from LA County so the zoo is a childhood favorite. It was one of those perfect days with a light breeze and temps in the 70’s. This meant that the animals were out and active. We actually saw a Warty Pig scampering in its enclosure. This was simultaneously cute and ugly because the pig looked like it needed a good orthodontist and cosmetologist.

Stop Smoking With Smokeless V2

I write about addiction all the time. I have seen it from all sides. I have been a substance abuse counselor for many years and worked with hundreds of people. I have seen addiction of every kind in my own family. In my own life, I have identified my own addictions many times on CoupleDumb as well. One of the addictions I have that I am sure that I have never mentioned here is my smoking. It is one of the reasons that I am so happy that V2 sent me their product for review. I started smoking at a very young age. I was never a heavy smoker and usually cognizant of not smoking near the kids or in the house. I decided to quit a few months ago and am proud to say that as of January 13, I have not had a cigarette.

5 Love Languages Author Is Fluent In Codependency

When CoupleDumb suggests going to therapy or counseling it is usually with the premise to work on yourself. Marriage and Family Counseling is wonderful but the truth is that to fix a marriage issue, it is best to start by looking within. Actually, the best time to have started would have been before you got married in the first place but we digress. As we research Dr. Gary Chapman and his theory of 5 Love Languages, we realize that we have found our antithesis. The only thing we have in common is that we both write about relationships but other than that we couldn’t be more diametrically opposed in philosophy and goals.

Dating App

If you are like us, you tend to share everything. One of the problems with that is that you tend to get comfortable with the knowledge. We also tend to forget to celebrate anything. Anniversaries and special days get shuffled aside because you share your love all the time, right? If not that, you end up playing, “where do you […]
