Deep Thoughts by CoupleDumb

Hola Friday! We’ve missed you. We had to put up with Monday and Tuesday and you were nowhere in sight. We aren’t going to get all victim but we felt a little abandoned by you right around Wednesday. However, when Thursday arrived, we could acknowledge that these feelings of ‘being left behind’ came from our issues of unworthiness of the wonders of Friday. With these realizations and awarenesses, we are prepared for the days to come with hope and resolute that Friday will return. Wow, maybe it would have been easier to say Thank God it’s Finally Friday!

Change – We Ain’t Talking Money

Say Happy Anniversary again to us! 22 years ago today we started dating! That’s right, we were married one day less than a year after we started dating. Lee thought it would be a good way for Paul to remember their anniversaries and it makes us sound badass that we didn’t even wait a year to get married. Having anniversaries or birthdays make you reexamine life and think of days long passed. Not that we have any regrets but there was a time when resolving to be or do things differently was as normal as putting syrup on your pancakes.

If I Could Turn Back Time

Friday the 18th is a day that will be celebrated for a dozen decades to come. Aside from being the last school day of the year, it is also our son Bobby’s birthday! Bobby is six years old today. For a parent, the birthday of your child is bittersweet. You are so happy to celebrate the day of their birth and the gift they are in your life and yet you feel the twinge of sadness that your baby is one year older. Our Bobby is a big boy so it is already difficult to carry him or have him lay in your arms like when he was a baby. Lee’s (not a) Christmas list

As we round off our ‘it’s the thought that counts’ week, we thought we would end it by letting the more thoughtful one of us take over the helm. Yesterday proved that Paul has little restraint when it comes to gifts. So, today, we will show you the dichotomous spouse who is more concerned with the thoughtfulness of a gift. The spouse who is satisfied with a drawing from her son where the stick figure sports firey orange hair and the house leans at a Pisa angle. This is the half of CoupleDumb that would prefer to donate her gifts to the poor and homeless than keep anything for her self since she is blessed with so much. Of course we are talking about Lee and this is the list she has compiled of things she never wants to receive.
