50 Things I have learned in 50 years – Day 44
We are on the final countdown to my 50th birthday! I guess you can say that as I get closer to the day I am overwhelmed by a mix of feelings- excitement, sadness and bit of nausea. I am sharing the lessons I have learned during my 50 years on earth.
I know you’re thinking, ‘What about my life?’ Which brings me to #44
Joy is a precious commodity…make a lot of it.
We tend to like to think that emotions are one offs that don’t play well with each other. That is not true. Emotions are just signals in our brain and they are waiting for us to interpret them. Our appraisal of emotions is how we label them. This also means that how we feel is also with our control. Can you imagine? The whole emotions wheel at our disposal and you want to pretend you only can color with primary colors? Nope. Use them all. Pretend you have that big old box of crayons with the sharpener in the middle and go to town!
Come back for the next 6 days and see what else I have learned.
